Mediastream platform has the option of audio publishing, specialized for radio distribution, the way to configure your live audio signal is very simple, here is how to do it and the components of the live interface.

Live signal creation

If your account has Live Audio Stream creation, you must go to the Live module and locate the +New Audio Stream button on the top left, this opens a window with different fields, some of them will be disabled until you save the changes with the initial configuration, some of these fields are:

Basic Information

- Name: The name of your signal, regularly related to the name of the station.

- Slug: is automatically created when saving changes, it can be used in a url to directly access the signal.

- Status: This button indicates the signal status. (Published/Not Published).

Recording

It is activated immediately when saving the changes in the signal and allows to record it manually or through live schedule configuration, the accounts whose function is audio broadcasting, automatically have 7 days of DVR-retention time for this function.

Adswizz

This section is activated by commercial request and corresponds to the selected zone for content monetization, depending on the use it is enough to activate the Use Adswizz checkbox; as additional, Banner companion options can be adjusted, these are configured as follows:

1. Verify that the Use Adswizz checkbox is selected..

2. In AFR Url you must assign the endpoint where the banners will be hosted, this endpoint is provided by adswizz to its customers once the corresponding zone is set, in case the client has the adswizz service with Mediastream, the default URL is:

https://mediastream.deliveryengine.adswizz.com/www/delivery/afr.php

3. Companion Zone Id: is the ID of the zone configured in adswizz for the selected audio signal; the data is assigned internally on request to the audience team.

4. Companion Fallback Zone ID: is a backup ID assigned in the same way as the previous one and is used in case of failure of the first one.

The banner is configured in the adswizz account directly; with this managed and if correctly set, the banner will be displayed when the campaign to which it is associated is deployed.

Shedules

They allow you to schedule your live signal, record it and later publish it as a podcast or audio content, as well as schedule whether the signal opens or closes as appropriate. You have the option to create them and a viewer of the last 10 schedules.

Producers

Previously created in platform (Show Module), producers are the individuals who generate content on your live audio signal.

Live Moments

They are 'moments' of your signal that can be shared later with the user (AOD) which send directly to a specific part of the content.

Custom Attributes

If you have previously configured special attributes in your account and they are linked to the live signals, you can make use of them according to your needs.

Advertising

It is divided in 2 parts:

- If you have ads previously configured to be displayed over the audio signal embedded in your website, you can load them in this segment; for audio signals it is recommended to use Ad server - Overlay VAST URL and Adswizz. You can also manage the referrer where you want the corresponding ad to be heard or seen.

- Ad insertion: related to Google DAI, it can be activated or deactivated according to the monetization needs on the account and on the Audio live signal.

Additionally, the interface has other fields that are activated or are only functional when saving a created signal, these are Logo, Custom Background Image for Error Messages, Access Restrictions, Publishing, Embed.

To create the signal, you only have to enter the name and save the changes, immediately platform generates the data to proceed to the configuration in the encoder, appears the Monitor section that tells us if the live audio is published or not, in this you can add the email of any user to be alerted in case of any change on the signal.

In the Publishing section, the publishing points, RTMP and Icecast, as well as the url of the HLS - Icecast - MPD audio stream are available.

The respective embed code that you will use to embed your signal in the web page is created,

and you will be able to select the player you want to visualize your content, it must be created in Settings>Players; platform by default has a player which you can also configure freely.

In the logo section, you will be able to add the brand corresponding to the station as part of the metadata, the logos must be at a maximum resolution of 1280x720 or 1100x1100 dpi.

In the Now Playing section, once you have configured your automation system and the encoder, you will be able to view the respective metadata.

You will also be able to see the information on how the metadata is delivered via API (Raw API Data) so that our database detects and shows the artist and song that is on the air at that moment, as well as the ads if the signal has them. It is worth mentioning that the ads can only be listened to on the live signal in the country to which the account belongs.

You can also add exclusions to this metadata, when configured, it will not be shown in the final player of the radio, filters can be made by Artist (1) or Song (2).

According to these are contained in the metadata of the theme, you must choose the corresponding filter, which are:

Starts With: Name that begins with a certain word or letters.

Ends With: Name that ends with a certain word or letters.

Contains: Random word that contains the metadata.

Equals to: Similar word in the metadata.

The result of the filter should look similar to the example in the image, in this case the Starts With filter was taken into account.
