We show you how to connect your social networks with Mediastream platform

You can integrate your social networks to share Live video and VOD content from platform, and according to the different needs of the account, there are additional integration methods that will be explained in a general way and should be discussed with your commercial agent in charge.

Module overview (Social Networks)

To integrate social networks, just click on the button corresponding to each one in the Connect with section, this will direct you to an access window in which you must allow platform to publish content on the accounts, this applies for each of the networks, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, you can add the number of accounts you want to each one.

Facebook allows you to link the pages you manage, in this case you can select the ones you want to add directly from this option,

Once the respective accesses have been granted, platform displays additional sections under the connection buttons, these are:

1. Default Social Sharing: here you configure the metadata of the content, it is displayed differently for each social network, you can switch between each one using the tabs in the section:

Platform indicates the metadata that you can enter when sharing your VOD content to networks, to Facebook you can enter title and description, to YouTube, in addition to the title and description, you can also add tags, the category to which you link your content (YouTube default) and the privacy status of the publication and finally, Twitter allows you to generate the Tweet with the maximum number of characters allowed (271), you will see all these fields from the Media module, when sharing a clip, and from the Live editor when you generate a cut by editing, you can understand how to do it in the following link:

2. Accounts already connected: here are shown the accounts connected with platform, you can scroll through the tabs of each one (1) to verify the linked accounts, additionally, you can disconnect (2) the accounts that you do not want to have integrated.

Highlights:

  1. Monitor the permissions of those who access this module.

  2. To share Live signals, you must do it from Live Restreaming, entering the Social Network tab when you are configuring the corresponding restream, you will only be able to select the integrated Facebook accounts, which when chosen, automatically share the content, you must not enter the Custom RTMP parameters if you do it this way.


Other integrations

  • Double click for publishers

When activating this function, the RSS Feed content is integrated to be read by the Google DFP (For the management and monetization of large amounts of advertising), its integration is done through mediastream API, you have the option to enable or disable the integration as well as enable or disable monetization.

  • Zoom

You can connect your Zoom account, just enter your login details and the account will be integrated with platform. Please note that to activate the feature, you must have a Zoom developer account, it does not work with free access accounts.

  • Kushki

Platform integrates with the Kushki payment gateway, usually this feature is activated only for the OTT service with payment, you must have an administrator account in kushki to get the respective data such as name, account keys, webhook signatures and define the payment methods. This is an optional integration.

  • Peering

In this integration, a peering connection is configured for your account. Only one provider can be enabled at a time (Streamroot, Peer5, P2P Teltoo), this feature does not work with Safari Browser.

  • Feeds

Mediastream platform integrates the media module through a url feed xml type that delivers content playlists, and allows any internet user to download the content shared by this method, can be delivered by categories/subcategories and show/season, just activate the feature and indicate the feed you want to share.
