The configuration of our player for Google DAI Live is very simple, but first you need to configure everything correctly in your Ad Manager.

CDN Ad Manager configuration

CDN configurations allow you to define the upload and delivery settings for your content whether it is on demand or live streaming content. Once you complete your CDN configurations, you can associate them with your content source.

To configure a cdn in your Ad Manager you will need 3 required information.

  • Name: Your CDN name

  • Ingest URL Prefix: The CDN URL prefix, which determines the CDN configuration to be used for the content. In our case it will be: origin-us.cdn.mdstrm.com

  • Delivery URL Prefix: The URL prefix of the CDN that will be used to host the delivered content. For our case it will be: 127.0.0.1

To add a CDN configuration go to the Live Streams section of your Ad Manager, then select CDN Configurations and finally New Configuration.

A form will appear where you will have to fill in the data mentioned above.

It is important to mention that once you create this cdn, it can be reused in as many signals as you wish.

Live Ad Manager configuration

Once we have set up our CDN we are going to configure a live signal. For this section we are going to need the source url of the content.

To build it you are going to replace what is between braces with the data provided by Mediastream Platform:

http://origin-us.cdn.mdstrm.com/{token_de_publicacion}/live-stream/{id_de_publicacion}/media.m3u8

The publishing token can be obtained in the Publishing token section in the live section you are configuring in Mediastream Platform, and the publishing ID is nothing more than the live ID created in mediastream:

When you have your route ready, go to your Ad Manager, and in the Live Streams section, choose New Configuration.

A dialog box will appear where we will fill it as follows:

Finally, this will generate an Asset Key, which you will be able to check at the top left of your configuration, or outside in the lives list.

When you have your asset key go to your live in Mediastream Platform and paste it in the Google DAI section, enable it and you're done.
