From the Next module, you will now have the option to generate a shopping and e-commerce section within the platform and link it to your event, you can add external products that, when selected, will direct you to the appropriate page to make the purchase.

To manage this functionality, you must have access to the Next module in your platform account, then create a new event or modify an existing one.

Once inside, just go to the integrated live shopping section and you will see the following interface:

The feature is divided into 2 partss, 1. Product and 2. External Checkout.

Para agregar productos, debes seguir los siguientes pasos,

1. Product

With this option, you can add manually one by one each of the products you want to integrate, the list generated in this way directs you to the website where the product is hosted for the respective purchase, this interface gives you the options of:

  • Name: define the name of the product, preferably the same name as the link you are adding.

  • SKU: Here you can add the SKU code (Stock Keeping Unit) defined by the manufacturing company which serves as product information (Inventory), usually found on product boxes and on the product cards of the related web pages, app or marketplace.
    Example:
Electronic product with SKU # 3940MX

  • Description: add a short description of the product, it is recommended with a maximum of 2 lines, between 132 and 150 characters approximately.

  • Image: upload the image of the mentioned product, with a maximum resolution of 150x150 dpi.

  • Link: in this box you add the URL where to direct the purchase of the product, this link should point directly to the description of the selected item to avoid any distraction of the potential buyer, for example:

https://www.example.com.cl/product/7677119/Digital-air-fryer/757241
  • Price: enter the price to show, you must write down the exact amount omitting points, avoid decimals.

  • Currency: in this box, enter the currency corresponding to the zone or region where the event will take place.

  • Status: you can change whether or not the product is displayed on the final link, the Published and Unpublished options are given.

After managing the fields, save the changes made and repeat the operation with each product you are going to sell, you should see the list as shown in the image:

On the landing page, they will be seen as an additional tab right where the chat appears.

On the listed products, you have several options once configured, you will see on the right side of each product 4 icons, each of these allows you to manage the following features, from left to right:

Highlight your products on the landing page generated in the module, and once active, they will be displayed immediately below the player, independently from the list on the right side of the player itself.

It changes the published status to unpublished and vice versa immediately.

By clicking on it, the article opens again in the New product box, allowing you to edit it.

Remove the product from the list.

2. External Checkout

The live shopping can be integrated with any e-commerce that uses a standard API like Shopify, having an API that delivers the list of products which are imported and filtered by their SKU to bring only those needed, and an API where the customer's shopping cart is sent.

In the tab you will see the following fields:

  • Products Filter: in this box, you must add the list of SKU codes with the selection of the products that will be used during the event, the added codes will create the corresponding items in the event URL with those selected from the online store.

  • Authorization Token: if any type of authorization is required for the request of the data through the API of the store, the token provided for such consumption is added in this field.

  • Products URL: in this field you add the external URL from where the products added using the SKUs should be read, usually the store's API.
    Example:

https://shop.mediastream.com/api/productos/
  • Checkout URL: It is the destination URL to which it refers to when a shopping cart with one or more selected products is ready, it is marked as mandatory.
    Example:

https://shop.mediastream.com/checkout/#/cart

The shopping cart is available at the top right of your Next landing page, once it is full, the user will be able to make the respective payment by simply clicking on Buy.

So, when sharing the URL of your event, the store will be available to users within the same live. The results of the purchases will be processed by the corresponding payment gateway at the time of management, Mediastream does not handle these statistics within the module.
